Language Testing and Assessment is an area that is sometimes misunderstood, if not understood at all. For most people, a test is simply for awarding marks, passing and failing students, and quickly putting something together in the class to add to those ‘quiz marks’.

However, exams, tests and quizzes are more than just that – they impact on futures, on attitudes to study and future education. In fact they even label us as either success stories or failures.
