At the time of writing, over 10,000 Palestinians including almost half of them being children have been killed in a month.

Can you imagine over 4,000 children having been killed!! Look at your kids. Could you face this?

Whole families have been wiped out.

Israel is committed to ethnic cleansing – The forced removal of Palestinians from their land.

Settlements – The illegal takeover of land and settlement of non-Palestinians on the land of the Palestinians.

Relentless bombing, clearly designed to kill anyone, be they men, women and children.

What I write here does no justice to the horrors of what the people of Gaza are going through, and frankly even those Palestininans who live in the West Bank.

The US, UK and Europe, powers that hold themselves up as beacons of light or progress have committed fully to Israels goals.

They are silent in the face of the atrocities and allowing them to continue. They talk about a temporay pause (not a ceasefire), despite what the world community wants.

The US is subservient to Israel and has sent battleships to the region, making its presence felt as a warning to those nations or groups who may want to get involved. Perhaps things will spill-over.

The West is damaging itself, and its support for Israel damages Israels long-term future, as all this will do will create more hatred in the hearts of the Palestinians, but also the world as a whole towards Israel and its supporters.

As the poor Palestinians die in front of us – because of social media, we see everything up close – the rules based order is on the verge of collapsing – the West is committing suicide, and with it, it’s influence.

Geopolitics will change – and powers will shift – which way exactly is difficult to tell.

What we can see though, is that the West has exposed itself.

A region that is ready to break international rules when it likes.

Suffering from an arrogance and self-righteousness that was the downfall of nations and empires in the past.

It was the downfall of the Pharoahs. They thought they were Gods, who gave and took life.

In the meanwhile, the Palestinians are showing the world what real courage is.

Courage that the rest of the world lags very far behind in.
